It is strongly recommended that majors have at least one study abroad experience during their undergraduate career and that they study a foreign language.
Freshman-Sophomore Courses
Required: ANT 105, ANT 107
Recommended: At least one of the following: ANT 200, 208, 215, 235, 305, 320, 355 Major Requirements: ANT 105, 107, 305, 405, and four additional courses in anthropology. Minor Requirements: A total of six courses is required for a minor in anthropology: ANT 105, 107, 200, either ANT 208 or ANT 305, plus two additional anthropology courses. Senior Capstone Experience: The Senior Capstone Experience in anthropology (ANT SCE) is an independent learning experience in the form of a thesis or project undertaken by seniors with the guidance and mentorship of a department faculty member. All Senior Capstone Experiences must include anthropological methods and theory. A student who successfully completes the SCE will receive a grade of Pass or Honors, and will be awarded 4 credits.
